i realised today that i graduated from high school over five years ago.
that makes me feel old.

i think not being in controll of things is the most frusterating and comforting feeling one can experience.

i was able to spend some time with my friend stefanie in portugal this last week. it was amazing. it wasnt some glamourous vacation, i just lived life with her, but it was the best week ive had since i've moved overseas. there is something so right about living in community. and being with a friend that is constantly pushing you closer to Christ. i think its what God wants for all of us.

lots of crazy things have been happening these last few weeks, i will update more when i have more clarity on it. but pray that i would seek the will of God.
i know that He is good, and wants to give us good things, pray that i wouldnt get in the way of that.

Post #100 thats kind of a big deal
so was yesterday, it was my 6 month mark of my arrival in germany (my departure from the states was two days prior...read my blog around the 21 of july 2007 for that story)

yeserday we had a fight in our middle school club. a kid got punched in the face, it didnt go beyond that because one of our volunteer leaders jumped in quickly. since john's absence i've put a hole in the wall playing turkey bowling, had a toilet seat broken by our boys bible study lock in, played the most inappropriate game ive ever seen in youth ministry second to tim barleys dating game my senior year in high school (i found the game we played in the young life book in my defense) and now i've had a fight break out.
i guess thats what happens when the intern is in charge. ha.

being home was so good but so hard at the same time, my heart was torn and i never got over jet lag (probably because of the two all nighters). it was so great that relationships picked up right where they left off but it made me long for that closeness with friends again especially when germany is such a struggle right now. today i woke up in florida and i just felt happy. the sun was shining, i didnt feel any stress or pressure and i just had this amazing peace. i spent most of the day laying out (i may even be a little sun burned) it was fantastic, i love the sun. and i know that we were never promised happiness but its so nice when the Lord blesses us with it.
