last tuesday was pop n' go at high school club, we had so many new kids, it was awesome, and troy (one of our volunteers) did a great job of talking about the question "how can we know God is real?" it was a good night. thanks for your continued support and prayers.

so last week we kicked off club with "get smashed with club beyond" where we dedicated an entire evening to smashing stuff. we started with smashing furniture, then a car, then we threw plates off the third floor of our building and finished with having kids smash their faces into cake in search of a two euro coin. it was a good night. we had like 40 kids there which is pretty crazy, i'm super stoked about all that God is going to do this year. then on thursday we had a squash fest with the middle school kids where we took regular games like ultimate frisbee and an egg toss and substituted in squash for the frisbee and egg. the highlight was probably a toss up between batting practice with squash and bobbing for squash, we had close to thirty kids there which is crazy because last semester we averaged 5-10 kids in the middle school group and we even had some volunteers (three! which is very unusual for middle school club). then friday we took a group of middle school kids to a wildpark which is basically where jurassic park meets the zoo meets a playground on crack. it was a lot of fun and one of the highlights for me was seeing one of our volunteers have her car chased by three llamas. i have such a strange life.
please continue to pray for the ministry here that kids could come and have fun and that truth would be boldly proclaimed.

i'm not completely sure if its possible...but if it is, i think my head might literally explode from thinking too hard. i've been processing through a lot recently (mostly good stuff) and it's a bit overwhelming. on top of that i have to turn in my final papers for my theology class on monday, get things ready for a volunteer leaders dinner (also monday), plan out the logistics of our big kick off club (were smashing things and calling it 'get smashed with club beyond') which is on tuesday, plan out the club talk for tuesday, and have some conversations that i'm not exactly looking forward to.
please pray for me, i think i really need it right now.
on a different note, i had a really fun weekend last weekend with friends, followed by some really hard goodbyes this week. we are in another huge deployment cycle and a lot of my married friends have a husband that is leaving or has left already to go down range.
this life is so different from what was normal when i lived in california but most of the time i think i really like it.
