Today we had a party because it was our last day of Italian class. I'm sad it's over for the year; it was so life-giving for me.

Oggi abbiamo avuto una festa perché la nostra classe di italiano è finita.

Yesterday I had a middle school girls night at my house; one of the girls told me that my house is "fantastically tumblr-ey" which I'm pretty sure quite the middle school compliment. They also hid when their parents came to pick them up which was so adorable and very endearing. It was a good night.

We had middle school camp two weeks ago, it was really good. I'm so impressed by the way my volunteers love kids and Jesus. I'm proud of my kids for sincerely and intellectually processing what they are learning. And I'm grateful to be a part of an organization that values intentionality in ministry.

A short couple days after I went to Cambridge and Wales. We did punting in Cambridge, and camping/hiking in Wales. Hiking and punting were major highlights as was quality time with some of the other staff girls.

I've also been coaching for school, I love it.

I'm out of the honeymoon and things aren't easy right now but I have a lot to be thankful for. Mostly I'm thankful that God knows exactly what I need when I need it. This evening was such an example of that. I was worn out at tired after a long day of awkward conversations and one too many middle school sports games. I was pretty much done being around people but I had told one of my volunteers I'd get dinner this evening. The Lord knew I needed that, it was so refreshing to just have easy, natural, quality coversafion. It's things like that the remind me to trust the Lord, he always knows what we need.

Also, unrelated but I went to Dublin last weekend. Here are a couple pictures:

We had camp a couple weeks ago. It was really encouraging, our students where honest and brave and real in ways that their culture typically discourages. I'm really proud of them. It's always nice coming back from camp and feeling like there are a few more significant relationships because of it. I'm grateful that even though making it happen so soon after I got here was a bit stressful that it fell when it did. God knows what I need.
