i'm really starting to love middle school kids.
the ski trip that i went on with the middle school kids this last week was a lot of fun. i will try to get the videos up on youtube at some point so y'all can see what i did.

the numbers in both our high school and middle school clubs have been way down but whats important is that we are loving the kids that do come well. last tuesday i feel like we really did that.

yesterday i had lunch with lana, shes a girl that just moved here. shes pretty cool and hopefully we will become friends, i like her a lot.

tomorrow i leave for training in france, i have mixed feelings about it, but it should be good. i'll be gone for a little over a week.

its been sunny and awesome for the past five days or so which has been such a blessing.
today i managed to pull some people together for a game of ultimate frisbee, we decided we are going to make it a weekly thing, i'm pretty excited about that.
i leave tomorrow to do program at a middle school ski trip, pray that it goes well and that we all have fun with it.

i played paintball with a bunch of kids that are in the military, it was a little intense. i didnt get hurt too bad because i was too scared to get close enough to get hurt (you would be to if you were playing paintball with people who do a similar type thing as their job). one highlight was when phil decided we would be decoys to draw fire during the first game (phil is a trainer in security forces, meaning its his job to train people for ground combat and to shoot guns and stuff) so we ran out and started to get shot at, we ended up having to army crawl to a tree and then roll down this like ten meter hill, in the mud over rocks and sticks and stuff...it was intense. then we got shot (which i guess was the point anyway).

i think its around age ten when half birthdays stop being a big deal, but today i'm twenty two and a half.
i'm ready to be 23.

i hate to be cryptic but some of you need to know how things went and i'm too drained to call all of you.
the meeting went terrible. i feel like i got hit by a bus.

but God is still good...even if thats hard to say sometimes.

i enjoyed this.

ive heard it said that sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better, i believe that. today was a really rough day but i trust that things will be getting better soon.

on a different but very similar note, i now have the keys to four cars. three mercedes and a bmw. kind of rediculous, yet none of them really work except for the one i have to give up to the military.

this weekend i was able to go to the dutch (neatherlands) version of mardi gras, it was interesting.

its snowing here. that somehow seems fitting.
a lot of hard but good conversations that have been needing to happen have been happening.
i feel tired but safe in the arms of Jesus.

learning to wait on the Lord is so hard.
but God is good. so good.
