oh goodness...where do i even begin...
i want to talk about how sad yet perfect saying goodbye to everyone was this morning (i guess it was yesterday morning but the time difference and the fact that i havent slept are really throwing me off).
but instead i am going to tell you of my travels.
i got to the airport in san francisco on time and all was well. that was pretty much the only point in this story when i will be able to say all was well so just brace yourself. what was supposed to be a ten hour flight to london ended up being around twelve. first we were delayed taking off and then the weather was so bad at the london airport that all the planes were in complete grid lock. i cried for a good majority of the plane flight and because of my sadness food just didnt sound that great. finally i realized that i really should eat something because it had been like eight hours since i had food. i went with the chicken and rice, it wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. there was some crazy turbulance on the way into london causing the chicken and rice to hate its home in my stomach, so it decided to leave. after puking several times and dry heaving a little more i decided to go back to my seat. (i told you this story was terrible). after sitting on the runway for like an hour and half they boarded us on to busses and drove us into the airport. once in the airport i was sent to wander all around looking for my flight only to find out that not only had i missed it but it had been cancelled along with every other flight into frankfurt. so i was told to head into baggage claim to get my stuff and then they would help me rebook. after circuling through baggage claim for about two hours (so many flights had been canceled that there was literally just luggage thrown everywhere covering every inch of unwalkable floor space) with out my luggage i just started to cry. i didnt know what to do, here i was in a foreign country with on phone and no pounds (the currency here), i always thought i was pretty independent and ok but i was a mess. after crying for a while a nice baggage guy (mid forties, very hairy and smelling of indian food) took notice and offered to help me out. his first offer was that i could stay at his home for the night, then he offered to have me cry on his shoulder (i didnt take him up on either), when i kept crying he just pulled me in and kissed me on the cheek. needless to say i was a little freaked out. he ended up being very helpful and a lot less scarry when he brougt over a nicer looking female friend who worked for the airline to help me out. she took down my baggage info and told me i should go rebook the flight. scarry baggage man really came through there, they were saying that there are no flights out of london to frankfurt for the next two days but he ended up getting me one for tomorrow morning. so i am in london, at a hotel, by myself (yet baggage man has offered to take me out...and totally knows where i am staying since he booked my hotel), with out my luggage, feeling kind of sick.
please pray that they find my luggage, i know that it is just stuff but i really dont have a whole lot right now and its been such a hard day and just knowing that my luggage will make it to frankfurt would make me feel a lot better.
i'm sorry this story was so terrible, but i'm sure in like a month its going to be such a funny story, just right now its pretty miserable.
i'm going to go shower, and tell baggage man that i think i'm just going to stay in for the night.

It seems hard, but maybe this means that is just how much good you are going to bring to Germany. Like Satan knows how much you will accomplish for the Kingdom and is therefore trying to keep you from getting to Frankfurt. But I know you will get there and my prayers are with you. Love you
