yesterday was a big day for me in terms of getting settled in.
i got a military id and a post office box...quite exciting.
things have been going well here, i've just been trying to get used to life here.
i havent had too much culture shock, just a few things that are different that will take some getting used to (for example it gets light here at like 5am and yesterday at 10pm it was still light.
i leave early tomorrow morning for the welcome/goodbye conference. i'm both excited and nervous for that.
i think thats about it for today.

hey! i just figured out how to view your blog (i know ts not rocket science, but for some reason it took me a while) and i am sooooo glad! it sounds like you have had a rough go of it so far but things are starting to get better! i miss you so much! and its so great to hear your (writting)voice! i hate that i've missed both ur calls but do try again! its bitter sweet getting missed calls from mars cause i know you love me but i hate that i miss it! well...its kind of rough that your office hours are like 2-4 in the morning or something like that here, but once we get to talk lets figure out our weekly ichat. and patis out of town so its hopeless for me to try and set that up on my own. ok, well i love you and i am praying for you and i miss u. even the simpilist things remind me of you. its like we were dating, but ill see, for example, this really happened, at my house the day you left, we were eating my strawberries and i was like, "strawberries....lauren used to like strawberries..." and got a little teary eyed. haha, man im kind of lame sometimes. but anyways, i miss u, and i hope they have strawberries in mars and i hope you remember what inside joke mars is from otherwise your probably pretty confused but hopefully still grinning. love u!!!!!
MANDIE(NOT ANONYMOUS, but again with the whole not tecnologically savey thing)

wow. it was fun and sooo sad reading this. not to make you miss home, but i'm sitting in the conde's kitchen and people were explaining who you are and it came up that i "didn't date" you. it was funny. praying for you. that God would provide friendship and peace and baggage (the good kind).
